Good enough. Nice to see Larenz Tate in a lead role again.A bit like 'In Too Deep (1999)' but flashier (but not as great).
One too many montages and slow-motion scenes perhaps though. And too much Meghan Goode, but any amount of Meghan Goode is too much Meghan Goode really.
Aside from 2 or 3 mumble rap bs songs mostly good soundtrack: Nas, Shuggie Otis and Aloe Blacc for instance set the mood.
Debating on wether it's a 3.5 or a 3 out of 5 star... I'd say it's a 6.5/10 so I'll go with a light 3.5. Either way if you enjoy undercover movies about gangstas and cops then it's not too shabby.

The Bluray Disc Association has recently released its finalized 3D specifications which includes full 1080p resolution backward compatibility for both 3D Bluray players and the 3D Bluray Discs meaning that both will play or be able to be played in 2D and the use of a new MVC codec an extension of the existing AVC

ReplyDeleteIt would be now at the time the movie was originally released the 3D Bluray standard hadnt yet been invented so the only option for a home release in 3D would have been anaglyph on DVD which the band didnt want I think in terms of the technical quality that a BD3D disc would be fine
