Plot The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds (1972):
Middle-aged widow Beatrice Hunsdorfer (Joanne Woodward) and her daughters Ruth (Roberta Wallach) and Matilda (Nell Potts) are struggling to survive in a society they barely understand. Beatrice dreams of opening an elegant tea room but does not have the wherewithal to achieve her lofty goal. Epileptic Ruth is a rebellious adolescent, while shy but highly intelligent and idealistic Matilda seeks solace in her pets and school projects, including one designed to show how small amounts of radium affect marigolds.Casts of The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds:

Mold and aflatoxin reduction by gamma radiation of packed ~ distinct effectiveness of gamma radiation in molds and aflatoxins can be explained by the target theory of food irradiation which states that the likelihood of a microorganism or a molecule being inactivated by gamma rays increases as its size increases
PDF Effect of Gamma Irradiation on Botrytis cinerea ~ Spore germination and mycelium growth of B cinerea were inhibited by gamma irradiation in an inversely dosedependent manner A dose of 4 kGy completely inhibited the mycelium growth of
Inactivation of RNA Viruses by Gamma Irradiation A Study ~ 34 Effect of Air Volume on Inactivation by Gamma Irradiation Inactivation by gamma irradiation is partly due to the radiationinduced creation of ozone within the air of samples 2331 There is some evidence that the indirect mechanisms of inactivation by gamma irradiation which includes the effects of ozone is diminished in frozen
Effects of Gamma Irradiation on Fungal Growth and ~ The complete inhibition of fungal growth was reported by Smith and Pillai 2004 who found that the gamma ray destroys DNA structure of cells and cells cannot continue their function while incomplete inhibition may result from a little injury of cells

PDF Neutron and gammaray shielding properties of ~ The MCNP5 program experimental setup was designed using neutrons of 141 MeV from sealed neutron tube and 60 Co as a gamma ray source Particular attention was given to the shielding properties of
Gamma irradiation of potatoes Effects on sugar content ~ The rate of greening of gammairradiated and illuminated tubers was significantly less than that of unirradiated illuminated controls Evidence is presented that irradiation may increase the susceptibility of potatoes to attack by molds under some conditions This is a preview of subscription content log in to check access
Gamma radiation effects on physicochemical parameters of ~ The percentage of spore germination decreased with increasing the radiation dose and was completely inhibited at 600 Gy for P expansum and it was considered as the lethal dose These results are in conformity with experiments by Arie and Golan 2002 who showed that inactivation of spores of P expansum Botrytis cinerea and Alternaria tenuis was achieved using gamma radiation 500 Gy
Radiotrophic fungus Wikipedia ~ Radiotrophic fungi are fungi which appear to perform radiosynthesis that is to use the pigment melanin to convert gamma radiation into chemical energy for growth This proposed mechanism may be similar to anabolic pathways for the synthesis of reduced organic carbon carbohydrates in phototrophic organisms which convert photons from visible light with pigments such as chlorophyll
